About Us:
We are the team Underground Adventures, born from the passion for exploration and speleology of its founder, Matteo Di Gioia.
To date there are ten members of the team, including a photographer specialized in underground photography, a structural engineer, a geologist with international experience, a technician specialized in three-dimensional maps, a historian and a survival instructor.
With the most modern equipment we are involved in Exploring and Documenting through Series or Documentaries places often considered inaccessible, rediscovered following research on ancient historical documents.
Our explorations in abandoned mines have allowed the rediscovery of two unique examples of piston pumps, dating back to 1700.
Subsequently, the explorations covered by the two series “Monte Rosa – The Lost Mine” and “The Contrabbandieri’s Gold” led to the discovery, respectively, of a vein of water containing colloidal Gold, and of about 50 Roman Coins and other finds dating back to about 2500 years ago
